St Thomas' Church | Faith
St Thomas’ Church, Keresley with Coundon is the Church of England parish church serving the communities of Keresley and Coundon in Coventry, England. The church building has stood on this site for 175 years, set amongst trees beside the busy Tamworth Road (B4098).
We are a Christian community of all ages enjoying a variety of styles in worship. Our main meeting for family worship is at 10:30am every Sunday at St Thomas’, but you will find a welcome at any of our services. There are a range of activities organised for children and young people, from pre-school age to teenage. And there are various groups for adults who want to find out more about the Christian Faith. St Thomas’ also remains a popular choice for weddings, christenings and funerals. Whatever the occasion, we will try to help you through these major life events.
Church Services
First and third Sunday at 9am in St Thomas' Church
Holy communion in traditional language. A simple said service, with 2 hymns recorded by our musicians to join in as you wish.
Every Sunday at 10.30am in St Thomas' Church
You are welcome to join in worship at St Thomas’ Church every Sunday at 10.30am:
All-age Service (1st Sunday) aiming to provide worship and teaching relevant to both adult and children. This is usually more informal and interactive.
Holy Communion (2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays) We welcome baptised children to Communion
Morning Worship (3rd Sunday) A flexible service where we can introduce elements of a more informal and interactive style
Sunday school for age 4-11 and Pathfinders for age 11-14 take place during the service on 2nd and 4th Sundays in term time.
Our 10.30am service is recorded and available to view, usually by mid-Sunday afternoon, on our YouTube channel.
Daily Prayer
Every morning at 9am in church, a short said Morning Prayer. Anyone welcome to join in. Mondays to Thursdays
On Zoom in the evenings, join for a short shared time of Evening Prayer or Night Prayer (Compline)
Mondays at 6pm – Evening Prayer
Tuesdays at 7pm – Evening Prayer
Wednesdays at 8pm – Night Prayer (Compline)
Thursdays at 6pm – Evening Prayer
