St Thomas’ Church Hall

St Thomas’ Church Hall is situated in Wickham Close, just off Bennetts Road South. There is ample car parking in front of the Hall, and a bus stop (No 16/16A route) on Bennetts Road South, just at the end of Wickham Close. Alternatively you may walk through the churchyard from the Tamworth Road.

The Church Hall is a range of linked buildings that can be used separately or together. There is a Large Hall (with a Stage) that can seat about 100 people when set out in theatre style, there is a Small Hall that can accomodate 20 people, there is a kitchen, a lobby and a full range of toilet facilities including a modern Accessible Toilet. Next door is the Scout Hall which can (by special arrangement with the Scouts) sometimes be used together with St Thomas’ Hall.

St Thomas’ Pre-School

Meet Monday to Friday throughout term time providing a range of care and early learning for children of pre-school age. Ring (024) 7633 8237 during Pre-School opening hours

Rainbows, Brownies and Guides

Meet on different evenings (Monday to Thursday), in the Church Hall. Contact Mrs Nicola Woodrow for more information (024) 7667 6474.

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts

Meet in the Scout Hall, contact Martin Goodwin (group chairman) for more information (024) 7633 5311

Beaver Scouts (ages 6-8) Friday 6.00pm – 7.30pm
Cub Scouts (ages 8-10) Monday 6.45pm – 8.30pm
Scouts (ages 10-14) Tuesday 7.00pm – 9.00pm

Martial Arts

Other Hall Bookings

It is possible to hire the Church Hall for children’s parties on some Saturday afternoons and evenings when there are no regular bookings. The Hall is not usually available to hire on Sundays when it is reserved for use by the Church and Church members. The cost for Non-Commercial hiring is usually £30 (accurate as of April 2013) for either an afternoon or an evening hiring, if you are interested in exploring this possibility then please contact our office.
